Basic First Aid
Two days of practical first aid covering primary and secondary survey, resuscitation, common injuries and medical emergencies.
Learning outcomes
- Understand the principles of first aid and the importance of quick action.
- Perform a secondary survey to identify non-life- threatening injuries.
- Manage various types of wounds and bleeding.
- Provide first aid for fractures, dislocations, and sprains.
- Treat burns and scalds of different severities.
- Recognize and manage environmental emergencies (e.g., heatstroke, hypothermia).
- Provide first aid for poisoning and allergic reactions.
- Manage eye injuries and foreign bodies.
- Understand the basics of casualty handling and transportation.
- Demonstrate competence in a range of first aid techniques through practical exercises.

On completion
Global SPS certificate of training issued to each successful participant, with records retained for client and regulatory audit.
Where we deliver this course
We deliver the Basic First Aid course at our training centre in Abidjan or directly on your site anywhere in Côte d'Ivoire and West Africa, in English or French, for groups of 8 to 20 participants. Courses follow international standards and are scheduled around your operation.
