Advanced certification for the Person in Charge of Lifting Operations, covering lift categorisation, lift plan preparation, risk assessment and on-site control.
Learning outcomes
- Plan and supervise complex lifting operations.
- Develop detailed lifting plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure all lifting equipment is certified and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate the activities of the lifting team (crane operator, banksman, riggers).
- Conduct pre-lift briefings and ensure everyone understands their roles.
- Monitor the lifting operation and intervene if safety is compromised.
- Manage the site and environment to ensure safe lifting conditions.
